The System

When I say this I am not implying this to every adult. I could be speaking out of my ass but I half-feel that we are all brainwashed to do a certain thing. That is go to school, do as good as possible, go to college, get a job, marry someone, buy a house, have a child, have some more, live the rest of your life in a boring routine setting. I just don't want to be like everyone else. Anyone else feel similar?

I think that starting from very young we are taught to be like everyone else, which is half the reason that later on we judge others because they may be a little different. Humans have a sense of comfort if that fit in the crowd and do whatever anyone else does but they feel unstable when they are going to take a chance on something that no one has tried before. To an extent you can call it brain washing but eventually that person makes their own choices and has a mind and opinion of their own.

I agree with you for the most part Jen. But what I'm saying is by the time they figure out they don't want to be like everyone else, it may be too late. They find themselves reliving the same day over and over again with the occasional vacation. It's all an illusion.

Yeah you have a point there, that is why when college comes around its so hard to pick an occupation that you will enjoy for the rest of your life and not get bored from it. I guess its better to pick a broad range of subject when choosing an area.

I literally have a few weeks to decide what college I am going to. The decision is going to have an impact on the rest of my life. And so falls the rock in the pond, starting a ripple, which will lead to many more.

Hey Umberto what colleges did you get accepted to?

I didn't even apply to any yet, I have weeks to decide. You probably don't know them, but it's either Champlain or Dawson college. (Yes Dawson is the school where the shooting happened )

oh dang. Hmm both of those are in such random places.. when you were choosing did location matter? just wondering
